16 Outfit Ideas You Need for Every Wedding This Season
Are you ready for wedding season?
I know I’m not the only one who is ECSTATIC to have a normal summer again. We have all been through so much in 2020, and it is such a relief to feel like things are finally getting back to normal. I went to a wedding a few weekends ago, and it was an insanely good time! Weddings will probably look pretty different this season, but the opportunity to step out in style will remain the same!
I rounded up some of my favorite wedding guest dresses for any type of occasion. Whether it’s a glam black tie affair or a boho wedding on the beach, you’re sure to be the best dressed guest! and the best part? Most of these are under $150!
Wedding Guest Dresses for a Black Tie Affair
I can’t resist a black-tie invite. Any opportunity to get in full glam is a win for me, especially if I also get to see my husband in a tux! A lot of people dread black-tie weddings because they tend to be more formal, and a black-tie dress code is going to be a lot more expensive than a casual affair.
But with some careful sleuthing you can still find a stunning black tie look for a great price. I’m obsessed with this sunset orange maxi dress, and you can never go wrong with a tuxedo inspired look. Or go classic in a black maxi, or fun and sexy with this 20’s inspired beaded dress. The most expensive one of these is still only $160, so what are you waiting for!
Wedding Guest Dresses for a Garden Party Wedding
Who doesn’t love a garden party!? There is a casual elegance that is hard to resist, and the comfort factor is key! Heels won’t be necessary, but a soft romantic dress definitely is. This is also the easiest dress code to decipher – just think sundress, sandals or wedges and a fun accessory, like a straw clutch or tasteful wide-brimmed hat (nothing that will be blocking people’s view of the ceremony please!).
I love this pink tiered ruffled number, and the green halter just screams lawn games and rose! And the best part? All of these garden party wedding dress ideas are all under $60!
Classic Wedding Guest Outfit Ideas
Classic wedding attire may seem the most boring, but at least it’s the most versatile. These are the kind of dresses you probably already have in your closet or if you don’t you’ve been meaning to buy. Think a classic black sheath dress, midi dress in a universally flattering color, and of course, a silk or satin evening gown. Simply can’t go wrong!
You might need to spend a little more for a classic wedding look, but you’ll be able to wear it for multiple occasions, and a timeless classic will never go out of style.
Wedding Guest Outfits for a Beach Wedding
Beach weddings are another favorite of mine. The setting can’t be beat and I love the relaxed, low-key vacation vibes. Keep that energy going in a flowing dress with flat sandals, and a sun hat in tow. You can wear any color from island green to baby blue, just keep the look relaxed and unfussy.
This subtle tie-dye maxi or lime green ruffle dress will have all eyes on you, or go more subdued in a summer ready black floral dress of classic blush dress with a tasteful cutout.
Which one of these is your fave? Let me know in the comments as well as how many weddings you plan to attend this season!
