If you are trying to plan a full itinerary and schedule using AI, be prepared to give it as much information to work with. I planned a draft itinerary of my upcoming trip to Thailand using Google Bard. I started with my prompt asking for a medium paced 3 day itinerary, including a visit to an ethical elephant sanctuary, a cute cafe, and some of the cities most important temples. It gave me a version that I was able to quickly refine to make perfectly my style with just a few minor tweaks and additional prompts. It also gave me suggestions to add on or remove in case I wanted to speed up the pace of each day, or take it easier.

And for a trip to Japan for Sakura season, I’ll be using it to help me build the most efficient transportation routes between my hotel and different popular sites each day. Everything is pretty spread out, so I’m using AI to cluster sites together for optimal viewing and streamlined travel.

Just remember, while AI is a powerful tool, it's not a replacement for your own research and planning. Use AI recommendations as a starting point, personalize them to your unique needs. And since AI engines may not be instantly updated, always double-check information before making any bookings.
